As she sang, I felt as though I had tunnel vision and although the room was crowded with admiring fans, she made me feel as though she was only singing to me. I could not see anyone else in the room but Fantasia and I. I stared at her with starry eyes. This was intriging to me. I had never been star struck in my life. I wandered closer to the stage to get a better look. I saw there a wonderful, sexy looking lady, with these moving eyes of the soul as she sang "SUMMERTIME". I could see and feel every emotion that she portrayed in the song. I became like a statue, in awe of her, never blinking my eyes once as I looked at her perform. The hairs on my arms stood up. My eyes were watery with overwhelming joy from being moved by her stunning, visually emotional, portrayal of each phrase of the song that took me back in time as she told the story of the song. It was like having a 3 minute orgasm and never wanting it to stop. She took my breath away. From that moment on I was ever so hooked on staying here at "Fantasia Island" just to get a glimps of another perfromance and her voice. Never once getting bored of her weekly performance. Never once wanting to leave this place. Never once feeling as though I didn't belong. Never once wanting to devote my loyalty to any one else but FANTASIA BURRINO! She is such a breath of UNIQUE FRESH AIR! I can't get enough of MS. BURRINO!
That same night I went over to Fantasia's Coffee House. (In the Idol Forums - Highly Recommended too)! I knew no one in there but I felt a sense of home. I ordered some blueberry pie and coffee, compliments of "NUKE", it being my first time there and all. What a nice young man he is. As I ate and drank my coffee, I overheard from many who had seen her perform as I did. There were two lovely young ladies there named "Trizzle and Tasia Fan aka (DreamyMss), and from what I could gather they were her number one fans. I couldn't help but listen in on their conversation. They were in awe as I was, and gave her so much praise. I agreed with everyone and everything that everyone was saying in the coffee shop. I tried to fight it, due to being a Latoya fan but couldn't resist the fact and the everlasting effects that were still present in my body and soul from the evenings performance. One lady was in near tears as she reminisced about the performance, as it reminded her of a time in her own life. I thought to myself "now that's the power of song and voice". I have never felt nor seen this before that night. I saw in this womans eyes what I felt in my new found heart for Fantasia's voice and performances. It was an amazing performance and personal experience.
Which brings me to my reason for saying that "Fantasia's not just a fluke". In saying that, I mean that she, by request of many of her fans who wanted to see her perform this song again, "SUMMERTIME", she did so once more. I was blown away that she could give a performance that possibly could have been just a lucky one the first time, but was just as good, if not better, the second. Hence "Not a fluke!" Well I must say that I was just as mesmerized when she sang it the second time tonight on stage, and might I say "FLAWLESSLY" relaxed, and almost exactly, the same emotion and perfect nuances and control of pitch, with that cinematic flare I have come to love. She once again blew me away. She sang the song as though she has been singing it for twenty years. Even better than the first.
I really know that I am here to stay at "Fantasia Island". Heck, I'm even thinking about working here part time! :):):) Woohoo! YEAH YEAH YEAH! and YEAH! :P If any of you plan on traveling around to your next contestant without choice, I recommend that you non-chalantly book a room at one of the many places to stay and just check out the scenery. Get a front row seat for one of Fantasia's weekly performances. Have a glass of wine or root beer (for the kids) and enjoy your experience as I have. The people here are wonderfully kind and generously helpful! Try it, you might like it. I can just about guarantee that you will. If your flight arrives here, leaving you tormented from your past selection of contestant(s), I assure you that by first day's end you will feel revived with positive energy and nothing and/or no one will ever bring you down during your stay. Enjoy your time here. It's a blast oooooooooooooon "FANTASIA ISLAND! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FANTASIA, I LOVE IT HERE!
